 November is a time of year when people start thinking ahead to the holiday season and planning for gifts. Ebooks are very practical gifts! There's no wrapping paper to wrap properly or recycle afterwards. With ebooks on phones and tablets and computers, there's always something good to read right at hand. It's great to be part of the Spooky Stories event on Kobo in October. During this month, look for Refugees And Other Stories , Celu Amberstone's collection, to be available as a 99 cent ebook. This is the book we've been promoting this fall to college and university students of literature, telling them to look at their course readings and ask the professor about Indigenous writing -- and then give them a copy of Refugees And Other Stories .  Why are books from Kashallan Press available from so many online vendors? Lots of reasons! Online vendors are a great way to get copies of ebooks (and print books). Some vendors curate a selection of books, some carry as many books as they find compatible. If a reader wants to support a local or domestic business or an independent, there are a number of choices as well as the most famous vendors. Libraries are another great way to read books (in print or ebook or audiobook formats). Magazines and movies are available too. It's a busy time at Kashallan Press! This spring sees the release of the final two books in the series Tales of Tasimu: Reawakening Memory and Memory Reclaimed . These books are available now as ebooks and early in April will be available as paperback books. The series Tales of Tasimu has been a project close to the heart of author Celu Amberstone. Since the first book in the series was published years ago by Kegedonce Press under the title The Dreamer's Legacy , this has been a story she has wanted to tell till it is completed. When Kashallan Press released the new edition of the first book in the series as Taste of Memory , this expanded version of the book began a series that Amberstone could tell the way she wanted.
